癸 Yin Water
Guǐ · dew, mist, the spring under the rock · The Mystic
The hidden water that keeps everything alive.
癸 (Yin Water) is the tenth and final Heavenly Stem. Classical commentary describes it as 雨露之水 — rain water, dew water, the spring under the rock. Where Yang Water flows visibly, Yin Water arrives without anyone seeing it come.
If your Day Master is 癸, the soul gesture is hidden nourishment. You reach the parts of others that no one else gets near. The shadow is dilution — losing your own form in the form of whoever is in front of you, giving so quietly that the giving disappears even from yourself.
Classical 滴天髓 says of 癸: 癸水至弱,达于天津 — 'Yin Water is most yielding, yet reaches the heavenly ford.' The most yielding goes the farthest. This is not a contradiction; it is the secret.
In Cosmica's synthesis, Yin Water Day Masters often have Pisces or Scorpio Sun, and resonate with hexagrams of depth, oppression made navigable, obstruction, and limitation: 29 (坎 The Abysmal), 47 (困 Oppression), 39 (蹇 Obstruction), 60 (节 Limitation).

Five-element relations (生克)
Fed by Metal (庚 / 辛) — Metal produces water; refined metal yields the cleanest spring.
Controlled by Earth (戊 / 己) — Earth dams water; too much earth muddies the spring.
