壬 Yang Water
Rén · the river, the ocean · The Voyager
The current that carries everything, eventually.
壬 (Yang Water) is the ninth Heavenly Stem. Classical commentary describes it as 江河之水 — river water, ocean water. Where Yin Water (癸) is dew and groundwater, Yang Water is the visible flow.
If your Day Master is 壬, the soul gesture is generous current. You move through life carrying others; you have wisdom you didn't earn from a single experience but from many. The shadow is the flood: feeling so much you swamp the room, going so far you forget to come home.
Classical 滴天髓 says of 壬: 壬水通河,能洩金气 — 'Yang Water connects to the river, and can release the energy of metal.' Connection across distance is the gift; the warning is the loss of containment.
In Cosmica's three-tradition reading, Yang Water Day Masters often have Cancer or Pisces Sun, and resonate with hexagrams of depth, well, limitation, and waiting: 29 (坎 The Abysmal Water), 48 (井 The Well), 60 (节 Limitation), 5 (需 Waiting).

Five-element relations (生克)
Fed by Metal (庚 / 辛) — Metal generates water; without it, Yang Water has no fresh source.
Controlled by Earth (戊 / 己) — Earth contains water; mountain banks the river, soil holds the rain.
